Dimitrios Batsilas
Soccer, Physical ConditioningDimitrios Batsilas is a member of the teaching staff at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS), University of Thessaly in Greece and he is responsible for teaching the undergraduate courses related to Soccer. He received his Bachelor degree (with a specialization in football) at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS) of Aristotle University (1995). He continued his studies in Germany and more specifically at Justus Liebig University receiving his Dr.phil degree (1999) in the area of team sports- soccer coaching programming. He has worked for almost two decades as a federal coach of National Football Teams (fitness coach, assistant coach, coach). He participated in the 2004 Olympic games as an assistant coach of the National Women's Football Team and took part respectively in four qualifying stages of the European (UEFA) and world (FIFA) Football championships (2005-2019). He holds a UEFA PRO diploma. His research activity covers the entire scope of the sport of Football with several publications in international scientific journals and conferences.
