Vasileios Voutselas

Track and Field and Outdoor Activities Coaching

Dr. Vasileios Voutselas is teaching Outdoor Activities and Track and Field Events and also is a researcher in Exercise Physiology, in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science in the University of Thessaly. He received his BSc degree in Sport Science from the University of Athens (1996), his MSc in Health and Fitness (1998) and his PhD in Exercise Science (2003) from the University of Essex (United Kingdom).

He is member of the administrative board of the Ski - Mountaineering Club of Trikala and a member of the administrative board of the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing and the director of Ski Mountaineering in Greece. Also, he is a coach of the Track and Field Club of Trikala.

Dr. Voutselas research has focused on the measurement and improvement of physical performance. His research is currently focused on the effects of recreational outdoor activities on humans’ health.
